A Message From Marlys:
This coming Monday night – June 1 – Aaron and I are hosting a debris pickup party. It will be between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 pm at the Boulevard near the bridge to Petersburg on Archer Street which is to the West. Wear your rubber gloves and bring a couple large leaf bags if you have them. We will provide bags if you don’t. You can park on Archer Street and we will be working on that street between Boulevard and the Maddox Apartments. The grass is on the long side that you will be walking in so wear appropriate shoes.
If you check the weather you will see that it should be a perfect night for a leisurely walk and lots of stretching! First 8 people to RSVP get to participate.
This is an opportunity to love on the people in that neighborhood and pray for our community. Hope to see you and remember to contact Aaron or Marlys!

Your Daily Dose of Inspiration:
As we partake in this water of everlasting life, as we are satisfied and made clean by it, we become a new creation. We are no longer who we used to be, we are no longer dominated by sin, but we are empowered by His grace to live according to His righteousness. We are made clean by the washing of the pure water of His Word. We are not only washed, however. We do not only drink. Rather, we become vessels and fountains of this living water to pour out on others.
John 7:37-39 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. (38) Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (39) Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Remember what Jesus said to the woman at the well? John 4:13-14 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, (14) but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Not only are we satisfied and made clean, but we become fountains of this water to give to others. We become vessels to bring this living water to the thirsty and unclean. To bring life and cleansing to all who are in need. Thus, we are called His children, His ambassadors, and His body. For we pour out that pure water from our heart with which we have been filled. We are filled up that we might pour out all that has been given. It is given to us, His children by adoption, His church, to bring the goodness of that water to the world.
John 13:12-17 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? (13) You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. (14) If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. (15) For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. (16) Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. (17) If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
