Your Daily Dose of Inspiration:
Many people look at the mistakes of their life and wonder if they have surrendered their value. Because of their many sins and failures, they wonder if they are worth loving anymore. But God shows that our value is not removed by our bad behavior.
Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
While we are lost in our sins, Christ dies for us. God considered us worth dying for, not after we had gotten cleaned up, but even when we were stuck in the middle of our depravity. Your worth is not a matter of behavior. It is not measured by the number of good deeds you do each day. Your worth has been given to you by God and cannot be removed. You have not lost your value. It is has not diminished with age or use. Even at your lowest, still you are a person created in the image of God, a person worth dying for. Remember the story of the lost sheep. The good shepherd left the 99 and searched for the one. Though that one had clearly failed and made a mistake, still the shepherd considered that one sheep valuable enough to pursue. Remember the story of the prodigal son. Though the son dishonored his father and lived a wasteful life, still he was looked for and accepted with great celebration upon his return. God shows all throughout the Bible that each life is worth His love and sacrifice even when they have fallen in sin.
